Research Interests

My implementation science research agenda and career goals are to:

1)   Develop, adapt, and implement scalable primary care prevention and control programs in LMICs with a focus on cervical cancer control, mental health, and cardiometabolic disease;

2)   Reduce barriers to healthcare access by translating evidence-based approaches to real world settings in LMICs in community responsive ways;

3)   Build LMIC research capacity in implementation science for noncommunicable diseases (NCD);

4)   Apply prevention strategies in relation to local culture and local resources by empowering decentralized LMIC health systems and develop effective approaches to influence policy makers on the need for NCD control;

5)   Train and mentor future NCD health services implementation researchers;

6)   Strengthen training capacity globally through innovative models of resource sharing;

7)  Scale, evaluate, and refine an innovative models of partnership that aim to facilitate robust implementation science projects in LMICs; and

8)  Investigate the sustainable strengthening of primary health care services at the community level in low-resource settings globally, emphasizing community participation through partnerships, health equity and global health education.
